Facebook Web Profiles – Cool Tool to Promote Your Other Social Engine Activities

Social Engine Success Blueprint

~ Facebook Web Profiles ~

Add ALL Your Social and Search Engine accounts and profiles to your Facebook Profile Page

Want more traffic from Facebook to your other web sites, profiles and accounts?   Plus do you want another link to your own website blog?

A great way to connect up all your Social and Search Engine online accounts, viewing and sharing with your Facebook friends, is a tool called “Web Profile” that you add to your Wall by following these steps:

    1) In your search bar up to, type in web profiles – it will display “Web Profiles – Application” which is the fan page for Web Profiles – click on it.

    2) When you’re on the fan page click on the button under their logo which says ‘go to application’.

    3) Then give facebook permission to allow access to this application

    4) Follow prompts, add your links and publish it to your Facebook Profile Page.

To see an example of my Web Profile on my Facebook Wall (scroll down below “Friends” in left hand menu), go to:

http://www.facebook.com/godmother

Here’s a screen shot of it – left hand menu, if you cannot view my Facebook page, this is what the tool looks like when it is installed and you have linked your other Social Engines sites (including your Blog).

My web profiles include other pages for Jennie Armato on Facebook:

My New Economy Entrepreneur Group, Jennie Armato Fan Club and Jennie Armato – The Entrepreneur

Other sites included in my Web Profiles on my Facebook Profile Page include:

As you can see, there’s some pretty important links to sites and pages that promote me and my business brand.  With “Web Profiles” they are all contained in one place, on my Facebook Profile Page, so friends and visitors can click and visit any and all of them – at any time.  Remember, true leverage of the power of the internet and social media is about what you allow people to do ‘in your absence’ – these are a ‘set and forget’ addition – I set them up once, I leverage all the clicks and business from them … for life!

Using Social Engines such as Facebook to generate traffic from that site to your other social sites, is an essential strategy for business owners to maximum Social Engine results for minimum input.

THE SECRET TO SOCIAL ENGINE SUCCESS?

Bill Gates and Jennie Armato share the brutal truth- The New Economy Dorks

“Be nice to nerds. Chances are you’ll end up working for one.” Bill Gates

The SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT SKILL an Entrepreneur in the New Economy must possess is ADAPTABILITY. Remember that saying, “dont forget the people you pass on the way up … because you’ll see them again on the way down” … well in the New Economy, Bill Gates got it right when he said “Be nice to Dorks (Geeks)” … ENTER THE NEW [ECONOMY] DORK … love this, the song, the concept, all of it. Have you seen it yet?  Thanks to Grasshopper.com, You gotta see it …

I’ve put the lyrics here for you too, so you can sing along the 2nd time you play it (I’ve played it a few times already today)

The New Dork

Now Im in the blogosphere, Now I’m in the twitterverse
Fans get so immersed, But I’m a nerd forever
I’m the new Zuckerberg, And since my website
I been cookin dough like a chef servin killa-bytes
Used to be the basement, Back at my mom’s place
Buildin web traffic so that we could sell an ad space
Make way for the, One man businesses
Bail outs finished with, White collar criminals
New sega genesis, Entrepreneur time
Makin big plans, To dominate the online
Yeah, I’m on YouTube, this is one man
Sharin’ google revenue, With songs on my webcam
Science is the new art, Databases day to day
Geeks spreadin’ sheet smarts, Hustle, make the data pay
I could be in Valleywag plus Geekologie
Tell from my avatar, That I’m most definitely

The New Dork,
Social networks, what dreams are made of, There’s nothing you cant do
Now you’re the New Dork
This VC money is brand new, The geek is now damn cool
Let’s hear it for new dorks, new dorks, new dorks

Catch me up in Techcrunch, Right on the homepage
Hell, I’m on Gizmodo, In a photo bout a phone craze
And Im up in Mashable, weekend trip to New York
Bar pitty, 1oak, parties full of New Dorks
Now I’m pitchin business plans, From the backs of napkins
Micro-lend to Africans, Monetize Kazakastan
Catch me up on linked-in, Dog, C.E.O.
You can see where I be, With the I.P.O.
Now I’m up in skinny jeans, Now a hipster’s lurkin’
Used to be a reject, But now I’m steady jerkin’
Now my glasses mainstream, Now the girlies eyein me
Popular kids copy me, The new swag is irony
Comin’ from the small time, Girls couldn’t find me
Now I scale models, Like I climb on top of Heidi
Start of big trends, with tweets that I pass on
You should follow me, cuz I’m friends with Ashton

The New Dork,
Social networks – what dreams are made of, There’s nothing you can’t do
Now you’re the New Dork
This V.C. money is brand new, The geek is now damn cool
Let’s hear it for new dorks, new dorks, new dorks

I’m going to let Bill Gates have the final word here … I found this list of things kids will not learn at school, that Bill Gates delivered in an address to an auditorium of school kids.  I found it insightful, hope you do too:

11 things kids will not learn in school by Bill Gates

Rule 1: Life is not fair – get used to it!

Rule 2 :
The world won’t care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Rule 3 :
You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won’t be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.

Rule 4 :
If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.

Rule 5 :
Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.

Rule 6 :
If you mess up, it’s not your parents’ fault; so don’t whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

Rule 7 :
Before you were born, your parents weren’t as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent’s generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.

Rule 8 :
Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they’ll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn’t bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

Rule 9 :
Life is not divided into semesters. You don’t get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time..

Rule 10:
Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

Rule 11:
Be nice to nerds. Chances are you’ll end up working for one.

I love Rule 11 – and so finally …

The geek is now damn cool  … Let’s hear it for new dorks, new dorks, new dorks

Viral Marketing on Facebook – The Game Behind the Game

Want your content to “Go More Viral” on Facebook?

What’s the REAL SECRET POWER OF FACEBOOK?  Well you would be right if you said 1) the number of people that go there, 2) the number of connections you can make 3) the networking you can do or 4) the entertainment apps.  Each one of these has something I call ‘gravitational pull’ – like gravity, they pull you towards them and make you want to stay, but they are not the Secret to viral marketing on Facebook.

Recently Nielsen Co released research showing that the ‘average’ Facebook member spends approx 7 hours and 20 minutes per month on the site.  I know alot of “New Economy Entrepreneurs” spending even more time than this on Facebook..  What are they doing on there?  Well probably one of the four activities I mentioned above – infact I will go so far as to say they ARE doing at least one of those activities.

All the while though, the ‘glue’ of this gravitational pull that Facebook has is the content or information that is circulated on  site pages - posted on Walls, Pages and Groups, Notes, ect.  Every Post made on one of these pages is fed to all your Facebook ‘friends’, so anything you do in terms of posting on Facebook is ‘reported’ to your ‘friends’ – this is known as ‘your content is fed through their (and your) News or Live Feed’.

So what is the Secret Power of Facebook for Viral Marketing - “The Game Behind the Game”?  It’s simple, yet seems difficult for many people to do and will affect the results they get or not get with their content being circulated.  Here’s the guideline … IF you love a ‘friend’s’ content, video, photo, note, blog, link etc. – whether it’s their original work or not ….  SHARE IT WITH YOUR FRIENDSBUT acknowledge the other person in your initial post.  (Instructions below.)

SOCIAL MEDIA SUCCESS

=

BEING A SOCIAL BUTTERFLY

————————————————————————–

Viral Marketing on Social Media is one of the most effective forms of ‘soft’ marketing you can find in business, a third party endorsement is the most valuable marketing you ‘cannot buy’.  Your ‘friends’ will reciprocate and circulate your work when you circulate THEIR content.  Support them by circulating their content – it’s how to make ‘friends’ work for you and vice versa … Viral Marketing is the Social Media  WIN – WIN for you and your friends.

IF you have a problem acknowledging others, it’s time for you to realize you will not ‘make it’ in this new economy.  You really want to look yourself in the mirror and ask yourself   “Am I the kind of friend I want to have?”

SHARE IT, EMBRACE IT, ENJOY IT – LET THE POWER OF VIRAL SOCIAL MARKETING TAKE HOLD OF YOU TOO! … CHEERS!

Follow these simple instructions for sharing on Facebook,  based on Law of Reciprocity- thanks Napoleon Hill.

To acknowledge a friend/s in a Post you are originating:

1) type the at symbol (shift 2 on your keyboard)

2) start typing your friend’s first then last name. A menu of names will load in a popup type box

3) click on the friend’s name you want to acknowledge – your friend’s name should now be hyperlink blue in your Post

4) Publish.

Your post will then go on your Wall AND your friend’s Wall (so they see you acknowledged them – they now feel more compelled to validate and circulate your work too).

PLUS Your Posts will go through your ‘friend’s feed’ – so if you did not acknowledge them, your friend will see this.  AND dont delete an acknowledgement Post on your Wall after you have ‘rewarded’ a friend, that’s really tacky and shows even greater depths of lack in you!

Think about Your Behavior – and as Gandhi said it so well “Be the Change You Want to See in the World”.
