Earl Nightingale and Jennie Armato discuss Currency of Ideas for New Economy Entrepreneurs
In the Era of Entrepreneurs, in The New Economy, Your Ideas Have a Currency
In the new economy, there are numerous ‘currencies’ – none more powerful or valuable than the currency of ‘ideas’ – ideas for new concepts, approaches, strategies etc – new ideas through innovation.
Inspired by my recent presentation at TEDxByronBay “Ideas Worth Spreading” event, where I revealed the idea of how entrepreneurs can lead not only their business, or community but an entire, global marketplace, I want to introduce to one of the original Leaders of Inspiring IDEAS for the betterment of mankind – Earl Nightingale.
Earl Nightingale (1921 – 1989) is dubbed the ‘Dean of Personal Development’. Earl was a Public Speaker, Radio Host and Author of “The Strangest Secret” (which economist Terry Savage has called “one of the great motivational books of all time“). In 1956 Earl produced a spoken-word recording of “The Strangest Secret”, which sold over a million copies, making it the first-ever spoken-word recording to achieve Gold Record status. Shortly afterwards, he co-founded the Nightingale-Conant corporation with Lloyd Conant.
In this 3 part series, Earl explains what the Strangest Secret is … starting with sharing the idea of using a tape recorder to leverage time to learn (can you believe how far we really HAVE come in only 60ish years – that’s not even a lifetime).
PART 1 – Summary of “The Strangest Secret”
“Are the People I’m Following Going Where I Want To Be Going?”
PART 2 - Summary of “The Strangest Secret”
“Our Greatest Gift We Can Be Given”
PART 3 - Summary of “The Strangest Secret”
“We need Individual Goals, Individual Thinking, Individual Actions”
From this recording, he launched his show “Direct Line” where he stimulated discussion, thoughts and ideas about stimulating discussion, thoughts and ideas.
PART 1 - “Direct Line” radio show
“People are at their best when they’re striving towards the fulfillment of good and worthy ideas”
PART 2 - “Direct Line” radio show
“Our Circumstances reflects our true beliefs”
PART 3 - “Direct Line” radio show
“The Two Types of Income … “
Would love to know what you think … share your thoughts and share this post, I would really appreciate it. Cheers, Jen
