Napoleon Hill also says “Borrow and use the education, experience, influence and perhaps even the capital of other people to carry out your own plans in life.”  In collaborating with a Mastermind, you can build your business and the business of co-masterminders but more importantly, you can drop the barriers of competitiveness and secretiveness and build trust and collaborations that propel all members.  Here Napoleon Hill further explains the nature and facts of the Mastermind that any entrepreneur in any business - include entertainers can use this powerful format for greater, quicker success:

During his presentation, Dr Hill talks about Kate Smith - a singer you may never have heard of (died in the 70s).  She could barely pay the rent from her performances, until she discovered the power of the mastermind … to collaborate and gain support so she could move forward quicker and easier than ever before with the help of Ted Collins.  She was reported as earning over $30 million dollars, that’s alot of money today, let alone 80 years ago!  (A true leader for all entrepreneu, especially female ones to follow.)

Husband and wives, like Henry Ford and his wife can Mastermind to move each other forward faster.  It was Mrs Ford that inspired Henry to move forward in creating his ‘horseless carriage contraption”.

TO BEGIN YOUR OWN MASTERMIND, here’s the guidelines from Napoleon Hill:

1)  Decide definitely where you wish to be and what you wish to be doing during the next 3 years

2)  Decide how much money you desire to be making and what you are going to do to earn it.

3) Form a Mastermind alliance with at least one person in your immediate family and at least one  other person among those to whom you are selling your services.

4) Heed Napoleon Hill’s advice about your Positive Mental Attitude – the one and ONLY thing over which you have total control!

Success is something that has to be planned and Success is something that has to be earned in advance.

In the above presentation that I made to Pete and Dave’s audience, I talked about Napoleon Hill and his Law of Success. 

It was his life’s work investigating the components and processes of success, abundance and wealth.  From all of his research, Dr Hill developed 17 Principles of Success.    Principle 1 is “Definiteness of Purpose” – the starting point of all achievement.   He says firstly - find out what you want, then find out how to get it and then do what you have to do to get it. 

You may wonder about and even be inspired to start transformng your business and your life right now!  If so, you will have this question … how and where DO I start?  

“Transforming your business and your life - through empowering and educating your clients to solve their problems and improve their position in life is a great place to start.”

I want to share a few of my experiences with his works and how they’ve influenced my life.  I believe it was my mind-set shifts and personal growth that enabled and allowed me to create opportunity and do “Business in My Bathrobe .. from Home and Hotels Around the World” (the name of this blog).

The fact that I used the internet and web businesses as my money-making medium is inconsequential, although it does resonate with me very well as it indeed fits with his teachings, but again, unless I changed the way I thought about life, myself, money, opportunity, peace, self-fulfillment and true happiness, the money (if I still managed to make it without a mind-set shift) would have been meaningless and I would have still been inherently miserable, even though I thought I was a positive, happy person … the truth was only revealed by working through the lessons taught by Napoleon Hill.

Firstly, I’d like to share this video, from Napoleon Hill that captures the very essence of transforming your life (by unlocking your spiritual forces) - to be where you want to be, do what you want to do and have what you want to have.  After this video, I have made notes about the Blessing and 3 steps he says you must take, so you will start benefiting immediately from the power of his work … Enjoy!

In this video, Napoleon Hill says we are given two sealed envelopes at birth.  We decide which one we want to open.

One envelope is labelled “THE RICHES  YOU MAY ENJOY IF YOU TAKE POSSESSION OF YOUR OWN MIND AND DIRECT IT TO ENDS OF YOUR OWN CHOICE   “. It contains these Blessings:

1)  Sound Health

2) Peace of Mind

3) A Labour of Love of Your Own Choice

4)  Freedom from Fear and Worry

5)  A Positive Mental Attitude

6)  Material Riches of Your Own Choice and Quantity.

The 3 Action Steps he tells you to take right now are:

1.  On a loose page, write down a clear description of your major desire in life.  The one circumstance or position or thing which you will accept as your idea of success.  (And remember before you begin writing, that your only limitations are those that you set up in your own mind or that you allow others to set up for you.)

2.  Write down a clear statement of precisely what you intend to give in return for that you desire in life … and then start in right where you stand now to begin giving.

3.  Memorize both of your statements – what you desire and what you intend to give in return for it and repeat them at least a dozen times daily and always end your statements with this expression of gratitude for the blessings with which you were gifted at birth.

and the Expression of Gratitude is:

“I ask not for divine providence, for more riches, but more wisdom with which to accept and use wisely the riches I received at birth in the form of the power to control and direct my mind to whatever ends I desire.”
