Do Business In Your Bathrobe – At Home and in Hotels Around the World!

I have something very personal I want to share with you.  It’s news about my next move professionally, but it’s not just another small move or change of  focus, it’s coming from a place deep within – recognizing my true desire to grow in new ways and to experience new adventures.

It’s a new world and new era of business that we are in- and I have been seeking that renewal … and rejuvenation that would align me with this new paradigm of living, working and playing.  SO, after 7 years in the one ‘job’ and 18 months ‘soul-searching’ for my higher purpose, the time has arrived … exciting times of change and new opportunity!

I feel a great weight off my shoulders – accepting a new era of opportunity.

It’s not easy to admit that changes need to be made and letting go makes way for new and exciting frontiers and experiences.  I had an experience recently that highlighted just how precious (and short) life is … and that we really need to cherish and embrace the beauty and gift of this one go at life – and surround ourselves with people who uplift, support and embrace the same values too. 

You may wonder why this is such a big deal for me … well, I have made a very deep and complete emotional investment in what I do professionally – so for me, it IS very personal.  Every piece of news, views, feedback received from my clients over the years have deeply affected me – the good, the bad and the ugly.  I love the beautiful friendships that have come out of doing business that way, especially those I know will be life-long friends.  So making changes in how I serve, who I serve and why I serve is not a decision from the head, it’s a realization from the heart.

Moving forward and letting go of what was not joyful or fulfilling anymore yet loving the people I connect with so much, has taken me alot of courage and in finding that, I have also had the opportunity to feel inner healing too.  It’s a new era for me – and a brand new paradigm of opportunity and breakthroughs for you.

The next chapter for you and me … moving in to joy in new and exciting times … and opportunities.  Here’s a message I made a few days ago that I’d also like to share with you:

 “It takes great courage to act rather than complain, blame and hold back.”

 Many of us have experienced, or will experience, a watershed time in our lives – a time when we have “gotten it,” when an answer to a lingering, and sometimes painful question begins to reveal itself and we start the process of changing, growing and healing.  Bon Jovi’s It’s My Life, reminds me I do indeed own my life. There is still plenty of time and there is still plenty of hope to create the experiences and new rewards that I want to receive, give and share.  SO, thought I’d end this message with this great song.

 Thank you for sharing my very personal journey of evolution with you.  I never realized that working as a Coach and Mentor for others could impact my personal life so profoundly too – my heart is open and I thank you for opening your heart to me too.

A Cause Created For A Course To A Joyful World AND Life

There’s no doubt about it, social network sites like Facebook have brought people far away to be closer, through direct contact and also they have brought people together – in common thoughts and feelings and also, in support of causes that improve people lives and planet we live on too.  One I want to share today is all about caring for others and the world by raising our energy for compassion.

One of my Facebook friends, Helen Bichel recently sent me invitation to attend an event she is hosting called “Raising Compassion Day”. 

I loved the idea of it immediately and confirmed I would participate.  In doing that, I connected with other people who love the idea and were following it too.  People from all over the world have come together for Helen’s event already and they are also sharing their views, and information about their experiences with raising compassion.  It’s great to be connected energetically to so many other people with the same aspirations and heart-felt desires for the world we live in – afterall, we create it.  I felt excited enough about the ’cause’ that I wanted to share it with you too.  Helen has asked us to spread the word and our view about raising compassion - and participating in Raising Compassion Day (7 July) too.

Reaching out to others with compassion causes more than a ripple effect, it creates a wave of love for others to ride upon.

In finding greater appreciation and therefore compassion for others, especially those we have connected with that are like you and me, I found this healing affirmation on a link from the Raising Compassion page.  I used it recently to repair a professional relationship that had real meaning to me but had fallen ‘off the tracks’, as they often do, through confusion, miscommunication and fear.  You may want to use it too to heal your life and perhaps even your relationship in need of repair too: 

THE COMPASSION AFFIRMATION “Just like me, this person is seeking some happiness for his/her life.”  ”Just like me, this person is trying to avoid suffering in his/her life.”  “Just like me, this person has known sadness, loneliness, and despair.”  “Just like me, this person is seeking to fulfill his/her needs.”  “Just like me, this person is learning about life.”

After I read this affirmation out several times, thinking about that other person, I grew a greater sense of love and compassion for what they were going through and – my own emotions transcended the situation and moved me in to healing … allowing me to send a note to apologize and mend what was left between us as broken.  And I’m delighted to say, it worked! 

We have restored our friendship, we have both acknowledged we could have handled things better and we both desire to move forward – and we have.  This affirmation gave me the courage to take the first step towards that, a step that could have ended in rejection.  And if it did, my raised compassion for them (and myself) and what they were going through took away the pain I personally felt for me. 

There is no greater gift in the world than that of Love and Compassion for self and other humans too.   We are ALL doing the best we can do, with what we have available to us – and raising your compassion for others, even if they violate your values and expectations, allows you to transcend the personal pain and move in to healing and greater love energy.

New Economy Entrepreneurs = The Most POWERFUL People On The Planet!

Collectively, we can affect masses of people and the planet in a positive way because we are equipped intrinsically with all the attributes to lead the way.  There is no other collective able to assemble, innovate and activate (quickly) like a collaboration of conscious, new economy entrepreneurs.  Until now, we have been the ‘dark-horse’ – now however, we are shining brighter than ever before and illuminating all those around us too. 

We not only seek change in the world, we claim the change because we are the change … and we are leading the way!

My Life Purpose is to help entrepreneurs raise our consciousness about purpose, people, planet and profit (become The Conscious Entrepreneur of the New Economy), to transcend challenges and lead the way by breaking through.  Raising our consciousness includes raising our energy and expanding our hearts, so we can lead the world in economics, contribution, help and healing and of course, compassion, from Love.

My businesses and personal life continue to be a journey of discovery and emotional experiences.  I have learned to embrace all of those experiences and heal as needed so I can also teach others on that same ascending journey – of improving people’s lives and the planet, using our business as a vehicle and as a tool.

Finally, I want to finish this post off with a bit of ‘mood music’ for raising your energy and compassion.

In raising my own consciousness (and to build confidence), I often turn to music of inspiration and also, as a catalyst to take action.  I want to share this song with you.  It ALWAYS raises my energy and aligns me with love so I can continue the work me and my business are assigned and aligned to do.  This song works best when it’s played loud and sung ‘belted out’ as if no one is listening (especially the chorus).  I do it often, why don you give it go, GO ON – you know you want to!  

When you feel your renewed energy around compasssion (and love), connect your thoughts and heart to someone you feel could really use the gift of compassion right now from you.  Is there someone in your life you have not ‘let off the hook’?  Or is there someone holding YOU on a hook?  You can use the affirmations I shared above if they suit you, then give the gift of your love and compassion for another, even if it’s done through a brief SMS or Facebook PM.  You can use Raising Compassion – World Compassion Day as the perfect platform to do that too.  It’s THE best gift you will also EVER receive.

Silent Power – The Getting of Transcendant Wisdom

There is one author that I have ‘banged on’ about over the years (in addition to Napoleon Hill) and from my earliest ventures on the internet I have supported his work by consuming it, sharing it and selling it.  In fact, he has featured in every live event I have delivered as a web success mentor since 2004.  His work helped me transcend one of the ‘darkest’ times of loss and turmoil in my life.  That’s how much his work means to me.

Who am I talking about?  Well, if you’ve spent any quality time getting to know me and be present with me, in person, on the phone or over the internet, his name will be familiar to you – because at some point, he becomes relevant and I am compelled to share what I have learned from him.  His name is  Stuart Wilde.   have blogged many times about him over the years, several posts are still on this blog

(Search “Stuart Wilde” – in the search box on the top right hand corner of this page and you’ll find several you can click through to and explore). 

One of his books “Silent Power” helped me to understand and appreciate the ‘inner warrior’ that resides within me – and within each of you.  If you’ve ever attended my trainings, I make a point of underlining the greatness you possess and are gifted with to deliver to the people you are here to empower in the world.

Your Silent Power is Like a Charisma that grows around you and helps you help people and our planet from a position of effortless strength not powerless loss.

I recently reconnected with the teachings in this book – like a flash-bolt of lightning, I became overwhelmed by the discovery that I had left my silent power unattended and was absorbing the power of external forces over my own – and needless to say, they were external powers designed to ‘bring me down’.  It’s never easy to have people not support you (even when they expressly say they are in your world, at your event or whatever to support you but you find out, that their actions are far from anything that resembles support – it erodes your life force)  I felt bullied – because I gave people permission to bully me. 

Now, if I was in alignment with and accepting of my silent power, I could have easily transcended the reality they were projecting on to me.  It has taken me several weeks to reach that point of discovery and of course not only re-accept my silent power but embrace it again, and stronger than before.

Again, another ‘darker’ time in my life was healed internally by referencing the works of Stuart Wilde.  And it’s with that in mind, I wanted to share this particular book with you today, “Silent Power”.

I was thinking of you – you see, this silent power may not be operating at its optimum level for you either right now – and perhaps a read of this short book can help you harness it and transcend not only what you may be facing right now, but position you with inner power beyond human-like, for a very long time.  And that gift is one you can then use to empower others in your life too.

You can recognize people who are working in Silent Power because they Exude Effortless Strength.  Those that are not are working in effortfull ego – needing to brag and ‘bitch’ to be noticed.

Silent power is the ability to keep something held deep within yourself therefore allowing you an inner strength and determination which builds up to confidence.

FROM YOUR SILENT POWER COMES FLOW, FROM THAT FLOW COMES SIMPLICITY OF HEART, FROM SIMPLICITY OF HEART COMES CONTENTMENT

Here’s a mini-test for you about your true Inner Strength – where are you at with it right now?

Being silent has strength about it.  Have you ever held onto a secret for someone?  They’ve made you promise not to tell anyone and it was a really juicy secret?  How did it feel when the secret eventually came out and the person who told you not to tell anyone knew it wasn’t you it came from?

I would guess you felt proud, strong and a closer connection to the person.  Now have you ever done the opposite?  Told the secret you weren’t supposed to, how did you feel then?  Exactly the opposite: disappointed in yourself, disloyal, etc.

Keeping things to yourself, in an unselfish way, has a strength which is manifested in your personality and subsequently your aural energy. Your aural energy is the energy you give off every day, people cannot necessarily see it but somehow they can feel it and sense it coming from you.

People who brag about themselves or bitch about others all the time lose this energy and have to gain it from somewhere else.  They want and need to feel important so they brag, boast and bitch - stealing energy from people that give them attention.

The next time you feel like bragging, boasting or bitching about something or someone or give away their secret, try your hardest to hold onto it and see how much inner power it gives you and how strong you feel after it. 

Once you’ve felt this power you will never want to tell another person’s secret or brag, boast or bitch to gain attention again.

William Ricketts Leads on Earth Day

On Earth Day, it’s my absolute privilege to introduce you the first man to impact my spiritual awareness of ‘man and earth’. I first met William Ricketts when I was just 12 years old and in my mid forties he still inspires the foundations of my spiritual enlightenment. Enjoy this introduction to him - honoring especially the indigenous people of Australia. ♥

William Ricketts lived and worked at his Mount Dandenong Sanctuary, on the outskirts of suburban Melbourne, Australia from 1934 until 1993.  His life’s artistic work was transformed by his years of contact with the desert people of the Pitjantjara and Arrente whose indigenous culture inspired his major creative output.

He lived at the Sanctuary until his peaceful death in 1993, aged ninety-four.  His was a lifetime of devotion and care for the environment, expressed in his energetic creation at the William Ricketts Sanctuary – a must-visit place for your bucket list.

Here is his work entitled “Mother Earth”:

Happy Earth Day - and in celebrating our tenancy on Planet Earth, join me in celebrating the works of William Ricketts – he really was a great man – and what a Legacy he now leaves.

I got to spend two days with him, when I was 12 and I went back 10 years later, right before he died.  I found his presence magnetic and envel-oping.  His work is incredible.

You really must add this place to your Bucket List.  It will be an experience that will move you forever.

In the above presentation that I made to Pete and Dave’s audience, I talked about Napoleon Hill and his Law of Success.

It was his life’s work investigating the components and processes of success, abundance and wealth.  From all of his research, Dr Hill developed 17 Principles of Success.    Principle 1 is “Definiteness of Purpose” – the starting point of all achievement.   He says firstly - find out what you want, then find out how to get it and then do what you have to do to get it.

You may wonder about and even be inspired to start transformng your business and your life right now!  If so, you will have this question … how and where DO I start?

“Power based on Love is 1000 Times More Effective & Permanent than the one derived from fear of punishment”

Leaders need to think differently and Mahatma Gandhi definitely did that.  This a tribute to all who think differently, and in particular Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, a pre-eminent political and spiritual leader of India during the Indian Independence Movement.  Born  2 October 1869 – Died 30 January 1948 and renamed Mahatma Gandhi due to his great sage soul.

“Mahatma” is a Hindu term of respect for a Brahmin (member of a social and cultural elite) Sage – A Leader of Leaders if you like.  Gandhi was called a Mahatma as a reflection of his great soul and the respect held by millions around the world, including many other great leaders.  Gandhi was killed by another Hindu Brahmin, Nathuram Godse.  He shot Gandhi 3 times at close range because he believed Gandhi was betraying India by doing negotiations with Pakistan to try and stop the war.

Gandhi was a practitioner of non-violence and truth, and advocated that others do the same. He lived modestly in a self-sufficient residential community and wore the traditional Indian dhoti and shawl, woven with yarn he had hand spun on a charkha. He ate simple vegetarian food, and also undertook long fasts as means of both self-purification and social protest.

The United Nations declared October 2nd (Gandhi Jayanti) as International Day of Non-Violence.   That is the impact one person can have when you think differently and devote your life to transforming the lives of others.

Even Google Celebrate the Legacy of Gandhi.

Here’s What Martin Luther King, another great Leader of the modern era said (briefly) about the impact Gandhi had on his life:

Aggression draws violence, even in our words.  Think Differently next time you are provoked, especially online in a social network or alike or by email.  Here’s to a Peaceful World, you can start by bringing more peace to your ‘world’ and to the people around you.

And again in the words of Mahatma Gandhi “Outward Peace is Useless Without Inner Peace“.

Confucius is An Ancient Chinese Teacher, Social Philosopher and Great Sage Who Still Impacts Life and Business Today.

28 September – China Celebrates his life, his work and the work of all teachers (coaches and mentors) too.

If Napoleon Hill is the “Father of Great Success”, then there’s no question that Confucius is the “Father of ALL Great Teachers” and ran the Best Life and Business Coaching Program … EVER!   Dont know much about Confucius?  Start with this mini documentary, it will enlighten you … if you have a general idea, skip it and read on …

Today, thanks to the internet, many great teachers, educators, coaches and mentors like you are able to share your gift with the world, using your web business as a base for your global message of empowerment and education, in your expert field.  On 28 September each year, China celebrates the birth of Confucius and in line with celebrating this great teacher, they celebrate the work of all great teachers of the world.

Throughout my development as a teacher, coach and mentor in my web business coaching and mentoring program, I have referred to the thoughts and wisdom of Confucious many times – usually in those times of need - where I’ve sought guidance greater than that which I can give to myself.  I am a controversial person at times, I have never been afraid to speak my mind and to speak out when things and people appear out of alignment with intentions of goodness for people.  This has, as you may well imagine, bought me many great allies and also some enemies – something I really prefer not to do, but then I battle with being in the knowledge of ill-intention and not taking action.  It’s in these moments of confusion – (do I speak out or do I transcend the issue?) – that I have sought the clarity of Confucius and Confucianism.

Here are the basic values of  Confucianism that you can use to guide you as a teacher too:

Mercy … Righteousness … Courtesy … Wisdom … Faith

It is on contemplating and reflecting these values that you are able to keep your intentions and actions in alignment with goodness for all people.  I find these values also help you to ‘Let Go’ and let it be.  Helping oneself and others at the same time, by referring to these values, is characteristic of the “worldliness” of Confucianism and Chinese civilization. I hope you adopt this course of ‘counsel’ and refer to them too.

To further help you continue to empower and educate people around the world, using the power of the internet and the best coaching program ever invented (Confucianism), here are eight of my favorite Confucius quotes that make an excellent representation of the attitude, approach and actions of a web business owner and teacher.  (Who would have known something written so many thousands of years ago would directly reflect with relevance to how we live and do business today!)

Eight of the Greatest Quotes of Confucius, the Social Philosopher and Teacher that work  perfectly for Web Business owners, Teacher, Coaches and Mentors today:

1)  If you enjoy what you do, you’ll never work another day in your life.

2)  Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising every time we fall.

4)  The superior man is modest in his speech, but exceeds in his actions.

5)  When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don’t adjust the goals, adjust the action steps.

… and I thought this one was an excellent ‘Life Success and Happiness’ quote, for those moments when things dont go well with someone else and you really need to let go …

“Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves.”

… and finally, this from Confucius:

“To be able under all circumstances to practice five things constitutes perfect virtue; these five things are Gravity, Generosity of Soul, Sincerity, Earnestness and Kindness. ”

Hey, as a side point of interest, even Google Salutes Confucius on this day to celebrate his teachings, work, impact and leaderdship.  It’s their way to make a tribute – by adding his picture to their logo for the day – that’s pretty cool and perhaps representative of the philosophies the people of Google work to align themselves with too.  If that is true, what an excellent example of their leadership (rather than domination).

Increase the Power and Influence You Have in Your Web Business, with Your Family and in Your Life by Engaging in thoughts that Validate you as a business, family and community leader.

Isn’t it true that the people around us, who care for us and support us often see our Greatness easier than we do?

I know it has taken years to really believe I am worthy of my success (yes it’s true). I AM a slow believer in myself.  No doubt about it, this is more to do with the inner dialogue that controls the amount of Influence and Power I’ve been able to bring to my business, family and life.  Chances are you can relate, maybe just a little, to what I have experienced as I’ve transcended my challenges and transformed my life.  This is something I wanted to share with you – and bring to front of your mind.

IS the dialogue you’re having in your own mind Validating you in ways that really work for you?

We really do rely on the validation of others, more often than we may realize – and others rely on your validation too.  Everyone wants to be loved, accepted and supported and VALIDATED in some way by as many people as possible.  We can often self-sabotage our success when the Validations we are getting from ourselves and others are negative.  It is true that we need to surround ourselves with as many people as possible that will Validate us in ways that are uplifting and weed out those that affect us negatively.

I found this FANTASTIC short film, all about Validation, infact it’s called VALIDATION.  I urge you to take 15 minutes RIGHT NOW and watch it.  The message is most uplifting and the experience will make you more powerful and meaningful with your positive mental approach to validating yourself and others – and the shift will happen INSTANTLY.  You’ll immediately approach your work, your family and yourself with a view to empowering and inspiring yourself and the people that you love and care about that are around you.

“Validation” is a fable about the magic of free parking … and a whole lot more!

We dont need a parking attendant for Validation and we cannot count on finding one each day.  In other words, we cannot expect other people to validate us unless we validate ourself first (love for self). 

Here’s a 3 minute meditation to celebrate YOU – YOU ARE AMAZING!  That’s all we need each day, 3 mins of validation by meditation.  Please take that 3 minutes now and reflect on the Brilliance, Influence and Power your possess – to transcend your challenges and transform your life – by helping others do the same too.  ENJOY!

My final thoughts about Validation belong to preserving the best you – whereever possible, take the ‘higher ground’ in emotional issues and walk away if you can (I know it’s not always easy) but some fights are worth avoiding.  Few fights if any will add value to validating you!  Sometimes, it is better to extend a genuine apology, let it go and move on – even if the other person does not.

Remember, YOU ARE AMAZING!  Live by that every day and watch your life and the lives of those around change – for the better!
