A Tribute to All the Work-At-Home Moms (and Dads). A Typical 24 Hours Managing Kids
A TRIBUTE TO AMAZING WORK-AT-HOME WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP – IN BUSINESS AND AT HOME!
A SPECIAL GIFT FROM THE GODMOTHER OF WEB SUCCESS TO YOU … ON MOTHER’S DAY
I am truly in constant awe of all the mums (moms) around the world that I have the privilege of coaching and mentoring. You WANT it all, no doubt about it but you also DO IT ALL! You juggle family management, kid management, money management, relationship management, health management … and so it goes on.
I think Women in Leadership – in your Business, in your Family and in your Community makes you the busiest people on earth with some of the greatest responsibilities we have to contend with – mind you, I work with many Men who carry all the same responsibilities too. Today I want to share this hilarious tribute to all Moms (and Dads) who might wonder why they get so exhausted at the end of an average day.
Here’s a video tribute to you – it ‘s just an average 24 hours of a Work-at-Home-Mom! ENJOY (I had tears in my eyes from laughing so much by the end of it).
Here are the lyrics for you too – for a laugh … and if you can add any more to the list, let me know in the comments below. I’d love you all to share them here.
Get up now, Get up now
Get up out of bed, Wash your face
Brush your teeth, Comb your sleepy head
Here’s your clothes, And your shoes
Hear the words I said, Get up now
Get up and make your bed
Are you hot?, Are you cold?
Are you wearing that?
Where’s your books and your lunch and your homework at?
Grab your coat and your gloves and your scarf and hat
Don’t forget you got to feed the cat, Eat your breakfast
The experts tell us it’s the most important meal of all
Take your vitamins so you will grow up one day to be big and tall
Please remember the orthodontist will be seeing you at three today?
Don’t forget your piano lesson is this afternoon, So you must play,Don’t shovel, Chew slowly, But hurry
The bus is here, Be careful
Come back here, Did you wash behind your ears?
Play outside, Don’t play rough, Would you just play fair?
Be polite, Make a friend, Don’t forget to share, Work it out
Wait your turn, Never take a dare
Get along, Don’t make me come down there
Clean your room, Fold your clothes
Put your stuff away, Make your bed
Do it now, Do we have all day?
Were you born in a barn? Would you like some hay
Can you even hear a word I say?
Answer the phone, Get Off the phone
Don’t sit so close, Turn it down
No texting at the table
No more computer time tonight
Your iPod’s my iPod if you don’t listen upWhere you going and with whom and what time do you think you’re coming home?
Saying thank you, please, excuse me
Makes you welcome everywhere you roam
You’ll appreciate my wisdom
Someday when you’re older and you’re grown
Can’t wait ’til you have a couple little children of your own
You’ll thank me for the counsel I gave you so willingly
But right now, I thank you NOT to roll your eyes at me
Close your mouth when you chew, Would appreciate
Take a bite, Maybe two, Of the stuff you hate
Use your fork, Do not you burp, Or I’ll set you straight
Eat the food I put upon your plate
Get an egg A, Get the door
Don’t get smart with me, Get a Grip
Get in here I’ll count to 3
Get a job, Get a life, Get a PhD
Get a dose of reality
I don’t care who started it, You’re grounded until your 36
Get your story straight, And tell the truth for once for heaven’s sake
And if all your friends jumped off a cliff, Would you jump too?If I’ve said it once, I’ve said at least a thousand times before that
You’re too old to act this way, It must be your father’s DNA
Look at me when I am talking, Stand up straight when you walk
A place for everything, And everything must be in place
Stop crying or I’ll give you something real to cry about
Oh!
Brush your teeth, Wash your face
Get your PJs on, Get in bed
Get a hug, Say a prayer with Mom
Don’t forget, I love you
**KISS**
And tomorrow we will do this all again because a mom’s work never ends
You don’t need the reason why, Because Because Because Because
I said so I said so I said so I said so
I’m the Mom ….. The mom … The mom … The mom … The mom
TA-DA!I then found this video response – my husband watched it and thought it was really VERY funny so I thought I’d share this one with you too. Of course, Work-At-Home-Dads have a whole lot more words to share each day. ENJOY … with Love!

really loved the article added to my favourites
I love that song, it sounds like me a few years ago when I had three little munchkins at home.
Hey Sue, It’s great to be able to relate.
Enjoy this and EVERY Mother’s Day – this blog post is a tribute to awesome women I know, like you!
It also continues to be my personal honor to have you as a client, a friend and a woman who DOES want it all.

Really EXCELLENT Jen … so FUNNY!
Inara xo
Hey Inara, it’s so great you got such a laugh from this. I would have watched it 20-30 times and I STILL get a laugh from it.
AND YOU are one of those women too that continue to inspire, uplift, guide and support me – and it’s an honor for me to do that for you too.
Thank you.
Love always, Jen xo
hahahahahahaha not sure which vid is funnier – good stuff Jen thank you – and happy mother’s day to you too, I’m sure your gorgeous little fur person would give you the moon and stars
Hey Sandy
I could actually visualize you having a good laugh along with this.
Again, you are another extra-ordinary woman who I honor and respect and get to laugh with … nearly every day.
Enjoy your special day today
That is hilarious Jennie, Absolutely brilliant, fantastic, Jayc and I laughed so much. Thanks for sharing.
YES we got a real belly laugh out of it too.
Have a great day – to both of you.
Jen xo
Yes yes yes I can so relate to this. This is exactly what my husband says when my kids happen to ask him for something. Love it, thanks for sharing Jen.
Isn’t that so Funny Jackie. My dad would do that too when I was little, then my mother would ‘ping-pong’ back to my dad and back again and again. It drove us kids mad, but we did also giggle about it.
As I got a little ‘wiser’ I started to make the decsion for them – amazing how kids will make a situation work out.
I love these vids too.
Enjoy your Mother’s Day.

Hi Jen,
That is hilarious!! My daughter Heidi is only 15 months and after watching that I’ve realised I’ve got a lot to look forward to hehe

Take Care
Kira
PS I’m looking forward to the webinar on Thursday to see what this is all about!
Hey Kira, how much fun is ahead for you!!
Happy Mothers Day my darling – what an honor it is to be your coach and mentor.

Hello Jen,
I so love this song. I have heard it before – and even have shown my five boys. The funniest thing is that I have said so many of the sayings over the years. I love it!! The Dad verion is brilliant
Great to hear it again.
Cheers
Lisa
Hey Lisa, THAT is a FABULOUS story – bet the 5 boys could not hold back laughing either. You know now, at your dinner table, when they react to your orders … you can SING the line “Because I said so, I said so, I said so – I am the mum, the mum, the mum, the mum … TAAAA DAAAAA!’
Oh I can hear you now. I’m laughing just typing this out from my imagination.
Cheers and Love, Jen xo
Hi Jennie
Thanks for sharing, it just goes to show that one should always perform as if it is your best opportunity. However in saying that it is often the impromptu performance that makes the most impact. Very very funny!
Cheers
Marney, you’re right. Can you imagine how much work went in to that presentation. It must have taken ages to put it together.
I bet the production team laughed many times over in putting it together.
VERY Well crafted, but she is amazingly authentic and believable. You can see her performing her motherly instructions.
I’m definitley a fan.
Cheers, Jen
Oh Jennie-WHAT a LAUGH!!! The funny, yet scary thing is…yes, every mother can relate to all that!!
I was killing myself when I heard the dad version-can not wait to show my hubby-hehe.
Thanks Jenn for sharing-has put a nice smile on my face, ready to take on the day
