<description>Hi Jennie, That was really beautiful to read through your story.

I had tears in my eyes reading your story of your grandfathers and how one didn&#039;t come home. Tragically I think most people have a story to tell about our fathers, grandfathers and how they fought to let us have a safe (as safe as can be) world to live in today.

My father was in New Guinea in the 2nd World War. He never spoke much about it in all the years we were growing up. Bills father was in WW1 in Palestine. He was hit and lay in the trenches for days with shrapnel in his head before they got him out. They thought he was dead.

When our children were at school and there was a show and tell day about the World Wars Nicole told the class that I had a grandfather in both the first and second world war. The teacher said you must be mistaken Nicole, they would have been in the second world war. You never know what went on in peoples lives do you.

Thanks for sharing your story Jennie.

Regards
