WOW Jennie love it!!

Yesterday i actually had to speak about how i have managed to get to where i have got to with absolutley nothing!! What you have wrote is very much how i ended up where i am today..

3 distinctive keys to my success are:

Passion
Almost everyone at some point in their lives questions what life is about and what is the purpose of being here. Have you noticed most successful people talk about passion? If you are living your passion I am not joking you feel so excited everyday it’s like you are on the biggest rollercoaster ride of your life and you just don’t want it to end.

Every Sunday I feel excited because it’s Monday and a new week of exciting opportunities coming.

Every one of us enters this life with lessons to learn and those lessons learnt can then be gifts to give- what are your gifts to give?

Surrounded myself with positive people
This was one of my very first lessons I learnt on my journey to success. One of my mentors told me “the higher you go up in life, the lonelier it is” what a true statement I found this to be.
I remember as a teenager hanging out with my friends and all we seemed to do was bitch about our other friends behind their backs. Looking back now this went on until I decided to make a decision that I would no longer get involved in gossip. It took me until the age of 22 to do a clean out of the negative people in my life and look for positive people to hang out with.

You see when I was living in a chaotic world full of drama, homelessness, low self worth, I was miserable and lonely, I had many people around me who loved to hear what my new drama was. People would call me, visit me every day to find out the goss, my life was a mess and everyone around me thrived on the next episode. I was the star of the show.
Once I decided I’d had enough of this life and wanted to create my dream life and pursue my passion and got away from living my daily drama episodes my fans stopped calling me and visiting me, I became very lonely. You attract who you are and so for me all I attracted was people who lived their life in drama land so the quality of my friendships were not very solid or positive. When I took action to turn my life around I had no positive friends at all, I was extremely lonely. I had to make a clear choice if I wanted to succeed and this was to move away from all of my drama friends and find positive friends however first I had to attract what I wanted to become so I had to work on myself before I could pursue positive friendships. I made the decision that I would work on myself for 1 year before I made new friendships, you can imagine how lonely a time it was to have not one true friend for a whole year.

The people i am surrounded by now are people that i read in books, watched on TV people i admired are now on my list of friends-amazing!!

Believe You Are The Most amazing Person
Let’s get one thing straight… everybody at some stage in their lives lack self belief. I will never forget the moment that stood out for me. Growing up and being a business owner I used to be in awe of great business leaders, I studied them, I read about them, I watch them you name it I found all I could out about them. One day I was invited into a business group with business leaders I would look at in awe. We sat around a table and went through our business plans and our obstacles. I could not belief my ears when I heard these business leaders saying the same things I felt “I just feel blah blah blah”, Oh my god these people were just human like me and then it hit me… WE ALL have self belief issues so acknowledge it, get over it, and move on..
The difference between the unsuccessful people and the successful people is that the successful people don’t allow their self doubts and negative thoughts consume them and secondly they learn to develop a strong belief in themselves, simply by retraining their negative thoughts into positive thoughts-easy as that!!
I have learnt that unless you have your own self belief no one else will, it all starts with yourself..

So many factors influence our success.. Your 3 distictions are SO TRUE!!

Wow, the concept of personal culture is really striking a chord with me. Thanks for sharing your vulnerability and insights. Alot to think about and absorb. I have printed this post and will comment again later once I have absorbed all of what you have said - powerful stuff. Thank you. Thank you :)

Wowsers Jennie. That was amazing. I think that I have "asking" for that post for the last couple of days and found it at a time that is perfect for me. There is some big time chewing to do here, but I thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing this and for the enormous courage to be so crystal in your authenticity. All the very best. Deano

Hi Jen,
thank you so much!
I am moved and proud to be coached by you! I sincerly hope we will be working together more closely. The most important aspect for me is to realize, that being a successful business person does not mean you have to move 'out of the love', which sofar has been the main factor to hold me back ( in business mind you).

I am undergoing huge life changes at the moment ( all good - mostly even though they are a little painful at times), and the amazing part: the most up lifting is not the empathy of so called well meaning 'friends' but the realization ( through reading your teachings) that not only is business and 'love' in the wider sense of human interaction mutually exclusive, but should be part of the same forward moving actions!

Thanks! and let's get on with it!

Hi Jen
Well I've had this page open for a few days, and today had the time and clarity of mind to digest it. The last 12 months have contained massive and ongoing challenges and changes for me, and I guess that's life :) I've had to learn that my values and needs are at least as important as those of others - I'm 48 fer goodness sake, and I've only just allowed myself that! I had to learn to trust the uneasy feeling in my belly about situations I'd been drawn into, and the choices I'd made - ultimately, all my choice after all :) I knew it in my head, this year I really GOT IT in my heart. And making friends wth my amygdala, recognising the signs that usually send it into overdrive and make me stupid, and using the potent simple strategies of Lester Levenson have been life-changing. This year I've learned to live in my heart and trust that wisdom, and I love that you've made these distinctions to make living in the heart more conscious. Live in the Love indeed - so kewl to see women standing up, at the edge, and showing the way to new possibilities. Rock on chickie :)

Hey Saleem,

The Personal Culture really defined so much for me too, it helped me transcend the ego based personality and shift to the complete self.

Yes I do definitely understand the reaction of nature and flow when in great alignment and when out of it. It's fascinating really.

Thank you for hearing my perspective and I really do hope it helps.
