A Heart-Wrenching to Heart-Warming Story
What I’m about to present to you is not easy to understand or accept.  It will probably hurt your heart at first. When I  first saw this story, I was totally heart broken.  I sat at my desk crying out loud, it was really tough to watch – my heart was physically hurting. Then there is an AMAZING follow up story that shows you where there is love, there is hope … and Love Transforms Lives!

You and I see very little of the pain and suffering that true isolation can bring, especially to children.  This mini movie will open your heart, maybe in a way you were not prepared for it to be opened … but PLEASE watch on for how the power of people like you and I can and does transform lives.  What you’re about to see will give you that added inspiration and insight to help you transcend your challenges … and change your life, so you can change the lives of others.

Wow Jennie, I loved this post. It gave me a warm funny feeling inside. Happiness starts with us. Love is a strong emotion, and I can’t agree more that it does transform lives. Thanks for raising the awareness of this simple but powerful message, and for sharing with us your love :) All the best Jennie and God bless.

    • Right back at ya Binh.

Love is all there is, just in varying degrees (good and bad) … for ourselves and for each other. I believe this thinking to be a true act of love for all: “When we feel and act big, we are putting out a message to the universe that we are abundantly large … with Love.”

We must open our hearts to let that be … I am grateful you are on this journey with me. J

Thank you Jen for such an inspirational post!!

Only until very recently did I understand “the secrets to happiness” and prompted me to write a blog post about it. You’ve now shown me that while building “happiness muscles” for myself is important I should never forget others out there!! I should start helping others to build their “happiness muscles” within and help them to transform as well.

    Hi Jen

Such a heartbreakingly sad but wonderful story. Years ago at my first day of university I filled out a questionnaire – one of the questions was ‘Who do you admire most?’. I thought seriously about who deserved my admiration … should it be a highly successful person, a famous person or a wealthy person? In the end I could choose no other than Mother Teresa because in my estimation she had achieved all of those things as a human being by the pure act of selfless love.

God bless these angels on earth who transform lives – selfless compassion is one of the greatest expressions of love.

I am so happy to be connected to your beautiful loving heart Jen. Thank you for sharing it the world.

    Inara xo

    • Hi Inara,

Thank you for this heartfelt support and friendship, I truly appreciate it.

I have a beautiful book by Mother Teresa, a biography of sorts, linking her famous quotes to her experiences. She is a true hero (heroine) of modern times, with boundless, abundant love. A real beacon of authenticity.

Here’s to acts of pure love. Jen xo

thanks for the great quality of your blog, every time i come here, i’m amazed.

  5. Maureen says:

There are so many people in the world who have nothing and yet you see the love pouring out of them and the pleasure received from the simple things. That makes me feel very humbled when I realise the lack of gratitude I have for the environment I live in and sometimes see the lack of love from those who around me.

Makes you wonder………where is the love??

    Thanks
    Maureen

Like you Jennie, I felt torn by the unbelievable situation of the 3 kids – the story proved that so little can do so much good – we’ve seen time and time again the African children share their food even when they are starving themselves [whereas I keep the last bit of chocolate for myself ].
There is a wonderful organisation run from Perth “Be Kids Australia Inc.” They are doing fabulous work in a major urban slum ‘Korogocho’, just outside of Nairobi – empowering slum children to work together for their own social change. Those amazing children are learning that working together THEY can affect their society. True Napoleon Hill stuff !! Donations are tax deductible for Australians when made via Rotary.

    • WOW Julia, thanks for letting us know about that organisation and if there is a direct way to contribute, please let us know by replying to my comment here.

      Many thanks
      Jennie

  7. Jennie, where do I start. I think I must have gone through the whole range of emotions watching these powerful videos. They were so heart-opening for me – seeing Jane tenderly washing her brother & sister, & then the wonderful journey they all went on, as well as the huge difference that can be made by even just a few people.
It made me even more determined to be the best me I can be & do the best that I can, so that I can have more of an impact on children like these. That’s what all of this is about! Yes, I absolutely want the lifestyle for me, where I can work in my pj’s or on the beach, anywhere in the world, just like you Jennie. You’re such an inspiration to me. And just like you, a massive incentive for me in raising my own life is to empower as many others as possible to raise their own lives alongside me!
Thank you so much for lifting me along with you just by being who you are & what you share, so that I can also uplift others along the way!
Much love & appreciation, Sharon xx

It brings tears to my eyes to see any child suffer, I hope the little carer gets the chance to show the world what she can do. Not all missionary work has been helpful historically but their hearts ate clearly in the right place.

thanks Jennie I’m much more grateful for my life after seeing those videos

    Cheers
    Ian

    • Thank you Ian!

I feel the same way about my life too – how much more grateful I am for what I have and who I can be.

Most of all, I embrace the idea of creating enough so I can financially hope those most in need, like young Esther.

There are many good people doing life saving work around the world – I dont mind their denomination, I’m looking for the religion of mankind love. And I can see that really resonates with you too.

      Jen xo

  9. Maria says:

Thanks for sharing such an amazing story Jen.

Just think that all it took was just one moment in time to help those who can’t help themselves. May there be many moments in times to help many who need.

As the saying goes, there is only on TRUTH and that is LOVE.

  10. Like the pebble dropped in a pond your ripples of influence will continue to spread around the world , I wish you a tsunami of strength behind you to make a difference and it looks like your well and truly on track!!! Bravo!… and once I get going I’ll help as much as possible too! Love, Light and Happiness… Marie

  11. Trish Rock from nail salon success says:

Jennie the human spirit never ceases to amaze me. Despite everything, the love of being alive to experience this world was strong enough to keep these kids going.

I think by sharing stories like this, which are very uncomfortable for some people to watch, has to be a driving force for the change we want to see in the world.

The love of that community was far greater than possessions, ego and what other people think and if we can all strive to get back to that pure, source love, there definitely will be massive change to the way the world is now. And the way it is heading is the way of love.

I’ll share and I am also sharing the last video on my wall. Thanks!

  12. Hey Trish, you are right, it is uncomfortable and that indeed should be the drive to bring change in to the world.

And yes, this brings all back to balance about life, personal values and our pursuits – for things over people.

I’m glad you have embraced this like me.

    Jen xo

    Jennie,
Fantastic message and fantastic videos to move people from their comfort zones and realise it just takes llittle steps of love to make a HUGE difference!
Those stories made an impact on me and I will carry them with me as a reminder of how to love bigger and wider.
Love the quote “transformation is possible!” – in our lives, in the lives of others and around the world.
Have given me encouragement to start something I have been thinking about for a while – keep up all your joy and generous giving Jennie – you are helping to transform lives too :-)
