Viral Marketing, Social Media Causes Flash Mob in Chicago … Oprah Winfrey screams “THAT IS SO COOL, THAT IS SO COOL, THAT IS THE COOLEST THING EVER!”
You’ve probably seen the clip of Black Eyed Peas serenading the 24th Anniversary of the Oprah Winfrey Show with a customized version of their hit song “Tonight’s Gonna Be a Good Night” performed in the streets of Chicago.
BUT … DO YOU KNOW THE STORY BEHIND THE STORY?
Watch this footage to see the celebration of their tribute song and how 22,000 people cooperated in a Flash Mob dance to their tune … then watch on for the story behind the story in the 2nd half of this video. (Oh, note the clever ‘product placement’ in Oprah’s hand – this Flash Mob celebration was sponsored by the phone manufacturer).
The Story Behind Putting the Celebration together – Social Media …
Viral Marketing via Facebook and Twitter bought this group of people together. Unusual stunts are a great way to raise awareness of your brand and product. Although you and I, at home or hotels in our bathrobe might not be able to pull off something of the same magnitude as Harpo Productions, you CAN use the power of Facebook and Twitter to connect with people and have them spread the word for you.
Flash Mob organizers and participants sometimes use Twitter to spread the word about flash mobs being planned. The group Flash Mob America used Twitter to promote their Janet Jackson Flash Mob in November 2009. http://twitter.com/flashmobamerica. Facebook is often used to promote local flash mob events. Organizers use this social networking site’s “Event” feature to spread the word of upcoming flash mobs and post updates and details for participants

There is a buzz around on the television news, radio, in the print media, at business networking groups and meetings and especially on the internet right now. There seems to be a shift of focus for how people look for products and services and then decide how they spend their money.
In terms of influence and power, the new way people search for products and services and make their buying decisions online could even rival the search engines. And it’s been said that this buzz could be the single biggest thing to happen in business since the industrial revolution!
Sounds over the top, but is there enough evidence (for you) to be a part of it too? And is this buzz a fad or could it be here to stay?
If you’ve watched TV news or listened to radio or brought a newspaper in the past 2-3 years, you will have noticed references to websites in both stories and advertising, where you can find out more – including how to get more information about a product or service and/or how to buy instructions. In more recent times nearly every news presenter, TV show host, journalist and celebrity are also promoting how you can ‘follow’ their lives, interests and activities online too – and it all seems to be centred around websites such as Facebook.com, Twitter.com, YouTube.com, MySpace.com, Digg.com and more, collectively known as Social Engines.
The following presentation was delivered as the ‘morning-starter’ speech at the Crocodile Marketing Inner Sanctum Workshop held in Melbourne and hosted by Pete Godfrey and David McMahon.
Pete and David invited me to share how the power of compelling copy has transformed my life … and the life’s of people I’ve worked with to help transform too, through my business designed to help people solve their problems and improve their position in life, using the true power of the internet.

Here are some photos from the day Think and Grow Rich was presented to me.
Here’s are a few pictures capturing the moments when I received my personally autographed copy of Think and Grow Rich from Sharon Lechter, Bob Proctor and Greg Reid.
Jennie Armato and Sharon Lecther celebrating Dr Hill’s Think and Grow Rich.
Jennie Armato and Don Green, Executive Director of Napoleon Hill Foundation celebrate Dr Hill’s work.
In the above presentation that I made to Pete and Dave’s audience, I talked about Napoleon Hill and his Law of Success.
It was his life’s work investigating the components and processes of success, abundance and wealth. From all of his research, Dr Hill developed 17 Principles of Success. Principle 1 is “Definiteness of Purpose” – the starting point of all achievement. He says firstly - find out what you want, then find out how to get it and then do what you have to do to get it.
You may wonder about and even be inspired to start transformng your business and your life right now! If so, you will have this question … how and where DO I start?
“Transforming your business and your life - through empowering and educating your clients to solve their problems and improve their position in life is a great place to start.”
Watch this FABULOUS short video from Brian Tracy, in his way, he describes the power of Inspired Thoughts and Inspired Feelings to achieve your number one goal in the quickest, easiest way possible.. ENJOY
