LIVE YOUR LEGACY … AS WELL AS LEAVE ONE

Even if your hands are shaking, And your faith is broken,

Even as the eyes are closing, Do it with a heart wide open.

If you’ve ever read any book, audio or attended an event to do with Personal Development and Self Improvement, then you would have come across the notion of Building Dreams, Setting Goals, Making Plans and Taking Action. 

As a student on a continuous journey of self improvement for greater self fulfillment (which I believe is the premise of our human existence), I’ve always be conscious of Dreams, Goals, Plans and Action.  BUT like many people, I have not always had a sense of urgency to fulfill and complete some of my bigger ones, because although we all know that eventually we do ‘kick the bucket’, we still think and act like we have the time to ‘get around to doing it’ … whatever ‘it’ might be.

About 5 years ago,  I read a quote from James Dean, that not only resonated with me, but the point of it stuck with me … and it stuck so powerfully that I made it a kind of mantra for my life that I also share with my clients when they first join our client ‘family’.  He said “Dream as if you will live forever. Live as if you ll die tomorrow.”

It was from pondering (meditating) on this quote that I got it – that life is about LIVING OUR LEGACY … NOT JUST LEAVING ONE! 

And so I started to dream bigger and with those dreams, my goals grew and my Plans grew and myActions grew – I actually found my desire and enthusiasm to do more, have more and be more meant my energy grew and my love of life, of people, of experiences and of myself grew.  My list of things I want to LIVE or experience grew and before I knew it, I had a flood of ideas about experiences I wanted to fulfill while I had the opportunity to do so.

Then I saw a great movie that gave me the idea to start ticking off those life experiences I want to achieve.  That movie is called “The Bucket List”.   

Funny movie “The Bucket List” – it brings home the need for every one of us to Plan Great Life Experiences and Move Forward in Your Life to Reach the Summit of Self Fulfillment through experiences.  Here’s the trailer for the movie – if you have not seen it, I recommend you get it out for a laugh.

If you have not started a Bucket List yet, I dare you to do it now!

Grab a notepad right now … go on … number the lines 1 – 100.  In no particular order, start listing things you desire to experience and continue to experience in your life.  No matter how big or small, worldly or personal, start your list. 

All outcomes start with a desire and that desire comes from your imagination.  Turn your thoughts about your desires into a list you want to experience in your life.  You stand a much greater chance of getting what you want, when you can actually identify it first.  THEN, all that’s left is the plan and action to get it.

I would love you to share any of your Bucket List items in the “Comments” section at the end of this blog post.  Your ideas might inspire me and others too … and also share anything you’ve already ‘ticked’ off your list too.

THERE ARE MILLIONS OF OPPORTUNITIES FOR CASH BECAUSE WE ARE NOT LIVING IN A FINITE WORLD

THERE IS ALWAYS AN EVER-EXPANDING AMOUNT OF WEALTH

One of my great ‘money-management’ mentors is Stuart Wilde, a modern day social philosopher of sorts.   Maybe you’ve heard his name before … maybe not.  He’s got some pretty wilde views about life, earth, reality and metaphysics - he expanded my thinking to new dimensions several years ago and it was through the enlightenment gained by reading his books and studying his philosophies that I was able to transcend my diabolical financial circumstances and transform my life to get the freedom to choose my direction and purpose of service in life.  I want you to experience Stuart’s work too!

Here’s a brief intro to Stuart via his thoughts and comments in an interview:

“I can’t disconnect money from spirituality. I know in the old traditions having money was not considered spiritual. However, I see the quest here on the earth plane as a sacred thing and one of the things that we come to do, is to buy experiences, in order to become fuller and richer people. So, it stands to reason that you need a certain amount of money in order to buy these experiences. They are part of your evolution. I think it’s important also because money is so much a part of this fifth dimension that we live in. I don’t think you necessarily have to become rich, but I think you have to dominate money and be in control of it and be disciplined so that you are inside what money you have, rather than outside it, and beyond it, and get yourself into debt and in trouble and things like that. So, I teach people to raise their energy, believe in themselves, charge people for what they do, be original, be creative, find something to sell and in that way generate finances to energize and empower their quest.”

You may find that statement a little confronting and perhaps even confusing if you’ve never encountered him or his work before … but please stay with me here.  As I said, this man is behind the inspiration and energy I have developed to continue to coach and mentor beginners in business on the internet for the past five years.

What an exciting week I have had sharing, learning, listening and enjoying time and experiences with world-leading internet marketers and web business owners in Armand Morin’s Platinum Group Mastermind Roundtable.

I could easily make Chicago another home – “Sweet Home Chicago” … never been?  Have a quick look at this vid:

This was my first trip to Chicago and my first time attending the Mastermind Roundtable, having finally qualified and passed the assessment program put in place by Armand Morin – a qualitative process to ensure he only has ‘the best of the best’. I have to say, while I was going through the process, I was quite annoyed as the Assessor/s would not approve me on points from the 106 point checklist to get accepted. It’s frustrating and time consuming complying with criteria set down by someone else about how to do your business online, but having finally completed it, I was very happy that the process exists and that I was not going to waste a week and a half away from home and family to be anything but a group of the ‘best of the best’ — and they knew I was one too because I also completed the Armand Morin Platinum level 106 point checklist.

So, the week was productive for business and fun for me.
