Put "Having It All" at the Top of Your To-Do List

(ARA) – It's the universal question all mothers face — corporate ladder or home with the kids? Is there a way to do both, to really have it all? As women, we take on so many different roles: wife, caregiver, sister, corporate executive, girlfriend … Too often, we are so busy taking care of others, we forget to take care of ourselves. But more and more women are finding balance by becoming "work-at-home" moms. In fact, a new buzz term has been created for this group: "mompreneurs." As two successful "mompreneurs," we've learned it's easier than you think to put "having it all" at the top of your to-do list.

Follow Your Passions
We became "mompreneurs" by turning a passion for jewelry into a side business accessorizing our friends between field trips and homework. We were looking for an opportunity to earn extra spending money for our families while still spending time with our kids. That business has grown into more than we ever imagined and allowed tens of thousands of women around the country to also "have it all."  What's your passion? What would you do with your time if you could choose? Make a list of five things that would make you feel like you "have it all," and assign one action step to each one. Use this list as a daily reminder you don't have to fit into either a traditional stay-at-home or corporate job mom role. Find something you love that lets you achieve "success"– no matter how you define it — and put it at the top of your to-do list!

Get Out of the House
One of the most rewarding journeys we found a woman can take is right through her front door! Yes, you have housework to finish, and maybe you could use a catnap, but it's important to share precious moments not only with your family, but also with women you can relate to. Schedule dinner or coffee with the girls. Squeeze in a book club meeting or shopping excursion. Or, simply make time to share a laugh between soccer games. Though it may feel like one more thing on your "to do" list, reconnecting with other women, and moms, is a way to pamper yourself. Never underestimate the power of time spent with girlfriends!

Look Good to Feel Good
There's no denying that when you look good, you feel good! It's that boost of confidence that puts the bounce in your step and the gleam in your eye. Whether you choose a well-deserved massage, a cute pair of shoes, or a sparkling new sterling silver necklace, be sure to "reward" yourself on the inside and out. You don't have to choose between looking good and being a good mom. Throw on something sparkly with your sweats to make the daily carpool run. You might find it changes your whole outlook and adds a little instant attitude. And who knows where that will lead you!

Do Something Just for You
As moms to three kids each, we know how easy it is to lose yourself between school commitments, sporting events, and family outings. But, finding something that's all yours is one of the most important things any woman can do to reclaim her sense of self. Taking pride in a personal accomplishment, separate from your achievements as a mother, is not only freeing but also a major confidence booster. Any financial benefit you can receive from it is an added bonus! Don't wait for others to reward you for all your hard work, take time for yourself as a thank you! You should always be at the top of your "to do" list.

Bonnie Kelly and Teresa Walsh are the co-founders of Silpada Designs, the largest sterling silver direct sales company in the United States. Google Adwords and You – Creating the Perfect Match!

DISCOVER HOW TO SAVE MORE MONEY TODAY … GIVING GOOGLE EXACTLY WHAT THEY WANT  - IT’S DEAD EASY WHEN YOU KNOW HOW!

What I’m about to tell you can literally transform your business bottom line instantly, by knowing and applying these quick and simple yet extremely effective and efficient tips and tricks with Google.

So, sit up straight, get complete focus and read on …

In my last blog post, I gave you a 20 minutes audio recording about the concept and principles of using Pay Per Click Advertising, particularly Google Adwords.  Have you listened to it yet?  If not, scroll down and download itto your computer or ipod and review it right now.

Once you have the general introduction to The Quality Score on Google Adwords, you’re ready for these money-saving insights.

Google Adwords pay per click charges are based on Google’s ranking/opinion of the effectiveness of your adverts.  Google use a system they call  the ‘Quality Score’ to assess and evaluate your advertising and from that, they set the prices you will pay.

The ‘Quality Score’ has 4 key elements to it.  Each one has a value and a grade and you are either Rewarded or Punished in the hip pocket according to their evaluation of how effective you are at applying ‘best practice’ to each element in your advertising campaigns.

The four elements again are:

  • keyword relevancy
  • advert relevancy
  • landing page/your web page relevancy
  • click through rate of your advert (your CTR % of clicks to impressions)

If you have not already done so, activate your ‘Quality Score’ in your Google Account right now so you can see how you’re currently ‘fairing’ with your keyword best practice.  Here’s how:

1.  Log in to your adwords account and then 2. Click in to one of your campaigns then click in to one of your adgroups and then select the keywords tab.  Just above your list of keywords there’s a column labelled ‘customizable column’.  From the drop-down menu, select “View Quality Score”.

Immediately you will see your Quality Score and Minimum Bid appear next to each of your keywords.  This will help you realise your current status and monitor your Quality Score from this moment onwards.

Let’s now examine the keyword relevancy element of the ‘Quality Score’ in a little more detail and then I want you to plan to take appropriate action to correct your current advertising ASAP.

Keyword Relevancy

Keyword Relevancy makes up one of the four elements of the Quality Score.  Your keywords and how they relate to the other 3 elements are given a ranking of one of the following – GREAT, OK or POOR.

It’s pretty obvious what you want to have right – of course you want ALL your keywords to be ranked GREAT!  But what does it take to turn your POOR or OK keyword in to a GREAT keyword?

GREAT KEYWORDS:  This means your keyword is very relevant to the other elements of the Quality Score.  A ranking of GREAT suggests you’ve got a perfect match and Google reward you for it!

Let’s break that down even more:  A GREAT KEYWORD is assessed as such by Google because it’s a perfect match to what searchers are actually typing in and it’s relevant to the advert.  And because your keyword matches your marketplace and your advert, you’ll probably also be getting good click through rates  and then finally, the page you’re sending people to is also relevant to that same keyword.

The results of a Perfect Match!  … Your minimum cost-per-click (CPC) bid for this keyword may be low, as low as 5 cents even.   Google are suggesting that this keyword is very relevant and effective for your ad campaign – therefore you are Rewarded by them with a keyword Quality Score of GREAT!

If you currently have POOR or OK ranked keywords, you got some work to do because you’re costing yourself $$$$  … read that again …. YOU’RE COSTING YOURSELF $$$.

Make a commitment and a plan to do some work on your Google Adwords keywords with consideration for the 4 key elements within the next 48 hours.  If you are not able to adjust or tweak your landing/web page yourself, give your webmaster a call right now and alert them to the fact that you will have a small but urgent job for them to do in the next 48-72 hours and you need them to squeeze you in.  And then, just do it – please do not ignore these insights as you are hurting your business and your future by not prioritizing your opportunity to make an immediate difference to your profit bottom line and business success!

AND now something for you when your keywords ARE ranked as GREAT.

I know what you’re thinking, I WANT MORE!!  I understand where you’re coming from.  Here’s a few tips from my program “The Google Glow” that you can try to lower your costs on a Great Keyword even more.

You can take a GREAT keyword and optimize it even more!

Firstly create an even more targeted ad text that includes that keyword in the default headline and any other lines of your ad - this could and should improve your CTR as it’s more relevant to your audience.  Then secondly by improving or streamlining your landing page content to also be in congruency and harmony with that keyword.  This could/should improve the ’stickability’ of your web site.

Improving and refining these elements even more is Optimizing Your Adwords for Maximum Effect.

The blessing of Search Engine Marketing using Google Pay Per Click is that, although it may still be expensive, we are able to continuously improve our adverts for better results and with the Quality Score formula you may even reduce your costs for the same or better results as you get better at how you do it.

Dont delay, saving money on Adwords can start for you today!!
