On a trip to L.A. recently, I was interviewed for a program called “In Search of Heroes” by Ralph Zuranski. He introduced me to the concept of heros and heroines in business. To be honest, I never really thought about this too much. Sure I have people I model from and that I trust to mentor me but I’ve never really seen them in terms of heros and heroines.
I think the people that work and interact with me in my business, on a daily basis are heroes and heroines. Firstly for embracing my concepts and beliefs in business and helping me to achieve the goals and high benchmarks that I set and secondly for being willing to understand and accept someone like me that strives to achieve new levels of success – constantly!
That’s not an easy thing to do really and I’ve had plenty of people want to join in but many have fallen by the way sides because they cant ‘keep up’ – and I dont mean that as a sign of weakness at all, but that they do not strive for the same lifestyle as me.
Although we have set-backs and frustrations, given the nature of our business that involves working with technology, I do make sure I acknowledge, praise and reward results that are moving towards our goals. Sometimes it’s a simple and sincere thank you, other times it’s some personal praise in front of others and sometimes it’s a physical reward, like a cash bonus or time off with pay.
I think as a business owner, this is really an important thing to remember to do – it’s an investment in you too! If you haven’t done it recently, make a short list of maybe 2 or 3 things to thank those around for doing to help you .
Helping make other people feel like heroes makes you a hero in their eyes.
You can find out more about the interview I did as well as other business owners by visiting the “In Search of Heros” blog.
Cheers and have yourself a SUPER Hero or Heroine kind of day!
Jen

Yes, today it’s your turn to do what I do every day …. sit quietly at home and do Business in Your Bathrobe !
Do you like the idea of operating a global business that’s operating 24/7 with you driving it from your ‘laptop boardroom’ anywhere in the world … in your bathrobe? How about in a robe at your favorite Hotel or Resort or Day Spa? Doing deals that do more than pay the bills in little more than a terry-towelling wrap?
It’s the ultimate business and income stream – generating continuous cash-flow from a business you can do in a bathrobe if you want. I love doing it and thanks to the power of the internet, anyone can start a business online, selling anything from fridge magnets to hot air balloons! It’s true, I’m living proof that it’s possible and so too are many of my clients that have purchased turn-key web business opportunities with me.
It’s so much fun to run a global business from home or by the pool at some resort in some exotic place in the world like Vanuatu or Thailand and keep my business operating without me so I can relax by the pool, sip a cool cocktail or have a therapeutic massage. Quite a contrast to the lifestyle I once had of driving back and forth in the drugery of city worker life every day to my corporate J.O.B. (which included a conventional business I owned too, it was a job with added stress and overheads).
One of my most favorite ways of doing business in a bathrobe is when I meet up at a hotel with a few friends to have fun and learn some more great ways to make my business better!
Here’s me in L.A. with my dear friend Donna Fox – doing business in our bathrobes and wraps.
Donna shares her thoughts on ‘that one thing’ to improve your business … to help you get to where you want to be (maybe that’s joining us doing business in a bathrobe, somewhere in the world) … grab a note pad and pen cause she gives you an answer you’ll want to take action on right away …. enjoy!

Hey I’m loving to be able to post you this message from the “Wonder Women of the Web” conference currently being held in L.A.

And to add to the true value and power of an event like this, “How to Be A Great Marketer as a Woman” and “How to Market to Women“, today also included the live broadcast of Dr Letitia Wright’s TV Show “The Wright Place“. I had an absolute blast appearing on her show and sharing my thoughts and a few ideas about how every woman can have every thing she’s ever wanted.
Headline speakers at the Wonder Women of the Web event include Lorrie Morgan-Ferrero, Rhea Perry, Jeanette Cates, Dr Wright and more. The event is hosted by Donna Fox and Pauli Sabol, both leading the internet marketing industry with their trend-setting, trend-focussed marketing and business management strategies.
