Facebook has recently initiated a trial campaign for businesses to promote a product or service called “Facebook Offers”. Only a few businesses have been selected to participate in the trial campaign at this stage however, you may already have the feature available on your Page, but nobody has told you about it.

Also, you may not have seen any offers like I outline here appearing in your Facebook Timeline or Feed yet, but you will soon.

Here’s how it works: 

- A business (with a FB Page) creates and posts an offer.

- Facebook distributes the offer to people who “Like”  business page – via their Notifications.  Those people can then choose to claim the offer and also can choose to pass the offer on to their friends, or not, creating a viral affect.

- To claim an offer being made by a business, you click on “Get Offer”.  This immediately despatches the full details of the offer to your FB registered email address.

If you are a friend of someone who claims the offer, it will appear in your News Feed, similarly to how a picture is shared, showing all who have ‘claimed the offer’ in this case.   Your friend can also display that claim ‘event’ on their time line and that is how it gets in to your newsfeed.  You read that event on your feed then you too  can then click to claim the offer.

And then FB despatch the same detailed, emailed info to you too.

You can use that email as the coupon to claim the offer, or not.  No one except you can see your email address. None of your  personal details are shared, unless you choose to take up the offer and purchase of course – at which time you of course WOULD share your info.

Think about the power of this distribution method for raising sales of your products and services.  It’s like the Social Network version of Groupon.

I have something very personal I want to share with you.  It’s news about my next move professionally, but it’s not just another small move or change of  focus, it’s coming from a place deep within – recognizing my true desire to grow in new ways and to experience new adventures.

It’s a new world and new era of business that we are in- and I have been seeking that renewal … and rejuvenation that would align me with this new paradigm of living, working and playing.  SO, after 7 years in the one ‘job’ and 18 months ‘soul-searching’ for my higher purpose, the time has arrived … exciting times of change and new opportunity!

I feel a great weight off my shoulders – accepting a new era of opportunity.

It’s not easy to admit that changes need to be made and letting go makes way for new and exciting frontiers and experiences.  I had an experience recently that highlighted just how precious (and short) life is … and that we really need to cherish and embrace the beauty and gift of this one go at life – and surround ourselves with people who uplift, support and embrace the same values too. 

You may wonder why this is such a big deal for me … well, I have made a very deep and complete emotional investment in what I do professionally – so for me, it IS very personal.  Every piece of news, views, feedback received from my clients over the years have deeply affected me – the good, the bad and the ugly.  I love the beautiful friendships that have come out of doing business that way, especially those I know will be life-long friends.  So making changes in how I serve, who I serve and why I serve is not a decision from the head, it’s a realization from the heart.

Moving forward and letting go of what was not joyful or fulfilling anymore yet loving the people I connect with so much, has taken me alot of courage and in finding that, I have also had the opportunity to feel inner healing too.  It’s a new era for me – and a brand new paradigm of opportunity and breakthroughs for you.

The next chapter for you and me … moving in to joy in new and exciting times … and opportunities.  Here’s a message I made a few days ago that I’d also like to share with you:

 “It takes great courage to act rather than complain, blame and hold back.”

 Many of us have experienced, or will experience, a watershed time in our lives – a time when we have “gotten it,” when an answer to a lingering, and sometimes painful question begins to reveal itself and we start the process of changing, growing and healing.  Bon Jovi’s It’s My Life, reminds me I do indeed own my life. There is still plenty of time and there is still plenty of hope to create the experiences and new rewards that I want to receive, give and share.  SO, thought I’d end this message with this great song.

 Thank you for sharing my very personal journey of evolution with you.  I never realized that working as a Coach and Mentor for others could impact my personal life so profoundly too – my heart is open and I thank you for opening your heart to me too.

Attention Business Owners and Entrepreneurs:

DO MORE THAN SURVIVE TOUGH TIMES -> THRIVE IN THEM!

Let’s not pretend or deny it, like our Politicians want us to.  Let’s confront the reality head-on – it’s ’the elephant in the room’ that no one’s willing to admit … business in Australia (and around the world) has become tougher to do.  Not only have the financial foundations of many 1st world countries been shaken to their core, at the same time, a massive shift in the way we communicate has taken place too. 

How we view the multitude of changes that are taking place – and how we fit in with all of it will affect the decisions we make and the destiny we create.

It’s a new era, a new paradigm, a new economy and there’s a whole new set of parameters and opportunties to puruse, if you really want to. 

Although technically and officially Australia has escaped the GFC (so far), the truth of the matter is, that outside of the resources sector, business has slowed down and we know it and see it everywhere – take a look at the amount of ‘commercial space’ for sale and lease.  There’s no need to labour the point but the truth is, people are being ‘laid off’ across various industries with corporations closing down – and the enterprises that ‘feed off’ them closing their doors for ever too.  Bankruptcies are up, confidence is down.

As professional promotional and marketing consultants, my hubby Paul and I often discuss the demise of small businesses and we can readily identify, in every case we have ‘seen’ over 20 years in business, that there are commonalities in each of them (and we’ve experienced them ourselves too).  The two problems that stand out like a throbbing big toe on a size 5 foot are 1) a lack of cashflow and 2) a lack of a continuous marketing/promotions system. 

There are plenty of businesses doing really well – thriving –  right now.  The reality they have created is one of profit and prosperity, despite the economic climate around them.  It IS a conscious choice – to recreate, innovate and extend your value and offerings in new ways that are ‘on trend’ and are fitting in to any economic climate.  And you can answer the call to join in too.

Several thousand Australian entrepreneurs have awoken to the idea that, despite the doom and gloom perception of others, especially as it’s fed to us in the media, we are choosing to take control of our finances right now AND our longer term future.  Also, we declare that it’s our right to lead the way forward in Australia – away from the economic bad habits of the old economy – bad practices and outdated structures.  We are aligning our energy and enthusiasm for a prosperous and profitable future.  Doing business the way we know we want to do it – the ways that are right for all people and the planet too.

A Cause Created For A Course To A Joyful World AND Life

There’s no doubt about it, social network sites like Facebook have brought people far away to be closer, through direct contact and also they have brought people together – in common thoughts and feelings and also, in support of causes that improve people lives and planet we live on too.  One I want to share today is all about caring for others and the world by raising our energy for compassion.

One of my Facebook friends, Helen Bichel recently sent me invitation to attend an event she is hosting called “Raising Compassion Day”. 

I loved the idea of it immediately and confirmed I would participate.  In doing that, I connected with other people who love the idea and were following it too.  People from all over the world have come together for Helen’s event already and they are also sharing their views, and information about their experiences with raising compassion.  It’s great to be connected energetically to so many other people with the same aspirations and heart-felt desires for the world we live in – afterall, we create it.  I felt excited enough about the ’cause’ that I wanted to share it with you too.  Helen has asked us to spread the word and our view about raising compassion - and participating in Raising Compassion Day (7 July) too.

Reaching out to others with compassion causes more than a ripple effect, it creates a wave of love for others to ride upon.

In finding greater appreciation and therefore compassion for others, especially those we have connected with that are like you and me, I found this healing affirmation on a link from the Raising Compassion page.  I used it recently to repair a professional relationship that had real meaning to me but had fallen ‘off the tracks’, as they often do, through confusion, miscommunication and fear.  You may want to use it too to heal your life and perhaps even your relationship in need of repair too: 

THE COMPASSION AFFIRMATION “Just like me, this person is seeking some happiness for his/her life.”  ”Just like me, this person is trying to avoid suffering in his/her life.”  “Just like me, this person has known sadness, loneliness, and despair.”  “Just like me, this person is seeking to fulfill his/her needs.”  “Just like me, this person is learning about life.”

After I read this affirmation out several times, thinking about that other person, I grew a greater sense of love and compassion for what they were going through and – my own emotions transcended the situation and moved me in to healing … allowing me to send a note to apologize and mend what was left between us as broken.  And I’m delighted to say, it worked! 

We have restored our friendship, we have both acknowledged we could have handled things better and we both desire to move forward – and we have.  This affirmation gave me the courage to take the first step towards that, a step that could have ended in rejection.  And if it did, my raised compassion for them (and myself) and what they were going through took away the pain I personally felt for me. 

There is no greater gift in the world than that of Love and Compassion for self and other humans too.   We are ALL doing the best we can do, with what we have available to us – and raising your compassion for others, even if they violate your values and expectations, allows you to transcend the personal pain and move in to healing and greater love energy.

New Economy Entrepreneurs = The Most POWERFUL People On The Planet!

With our powerful combination of: 1) innovation for better business, 2) value exchange for meaning and not just the money, 3) collaboration to accelerate growth and our messianic message and 4) courage and commitment to breakthrough and follow through … with passion! 

Collectively, we can affect masses of people and the planet in a positive way because we are equipped intrinsically with all the attributes to lead the way.  There is no other collective able to assemble, innovate and activate (quickly) like a collaboration of conscious, new economy entrepreneurs.  Until now, we have been the ‘dark-horse’ – now however, we are shining brighter than ever before and illuminating all those around us too. 

We not only seek change in the world, we claim the change because we are the change … and we are leading the way!

My Life Purpose is to help entrepreneurs raise our consciousness about purpose, people, planet and profit (become The Conscious Entrepreneur of the New Economy), to transcend challenges and lead the way by breaking through.  Raising our consciousness includes raising our energy and expanding our hearts, so we can lead the world in economics, contribution, help and healing and of course, compassion, from Love.

My businesses and personal life continue to be a journey of discovery and emotional experiences.  I have learned to embrace all of those experiences and heal as needed so I can also teach others on that same ascending journey – of improving people’s lives and the planet, using our business as a vehicle and as a tool.

Finally, I want to finish this post off with a bit of ‘mood music’ for raising your energy and compassion.

In raising my own consciousness (and to build confidence), I often turn to music of inspiration and also, as a catalyst to take action.  I want to share this song with you.  It ALWAYS raises my energy and aligns me with love so I can continue the work me and my business are assigned and aligned to do.  This song works best when it’s played loud and sung ‘belted out’ as if no one is listening (especially the chorus).  I do it often, why don you give it go, GO ON – you know you want to!  

When you feel your renewed energy around compasssion (and love), connect your thoughts and heart to someone you feel could really use the gift of compassion right now from you.  Is there someone in your life you have not ‘let off the hook’?  Or is there someone holding YOU on a hook?  You can use the affirmations I shared above if they suit you, then give the gift of your love and compassion for another, even if it’s done through a brief SMS or Facebook PM.  You can use Raising Compassion – World Compassion Day as the perfect platform to do that too.  It’s THE best gift you will also EVER receive.

In the Spirit of the smash-hit movie ‘The Secret’, comes ‘Embrace The Journey’

On my recent trip to the USA, I met with NYC Publishers about my new books “The Law of Alignment“ and “Web Entrepreneur Millionaire“, I also stopped by San Diego and Hollywood to be a part of a documentary and a movie – all 4 pieces are due for release end 2011.

On the day of shooting the movie in Hollywood, “Embrace The Journey“, my ’co-star’ Bobby Donohue had his flip cam open while we were chatting about life, love, business and of course, The Law of Alignment.  Bobby is creator and host of the Web TV Reality Show “Be A RockStar“ … here is this week’s episode that takes you behind the scenes of filming a movie (a very tedious, time-consuming process).
